Materials:The scarf can be made using any yarn you wish. Choose a hook size that matches the yarn.
- 5.00 mm hook
- Schachenmayr Ecologico Color;  Aran Weight Yarn
 
Size:
90 inches long (include fringe) and 5.5 inches wide

US Crochet Abbreviations:
ch = chain
dc = double crochet
st = stitch
sl = slip

Scarf: Working in back loops only.
Row 1: Ch 250, dc in fourth chain from hook, sc in next 246 chs, turn. (247)
Row 2-10: Ch 3 (count as one dc), dc in next 246 sts, turn. (247)
Row 11: Ch 3(count as one dc), dc in next 246 sts, fasten off. (247)

Fringe:
Cut 44 pieces of yarn, 12 inches long. Hold one strand of yarn fold it in half, use a crochet hook to pull it through the end of rows. There will be a little loop on one side, pull the yarn through that little loop to make a knot. You can trim the ends to whatever length you like.

  2. Thank you for posting this pattern. I'm making a special hat for the nun at our church and wanted a simple scarf pattern that I could use for the base for one I will make with a little variation to match the hat.

  3. This is a beautiful scarf and pattern. One question on Row 1. Dc 4 chain from hook, then sc across row, Why the DC at beginning of row? Thank you !
